Croft Street’s Rafael judges the UK’s best young friers
12 September 2013
Earlier in the week Croft Street Fisheries owner Rafael Chandler helped the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), Drywite and Seafish to judge the semi-finals of the Young Fish Fryer of the Year competition.
The competition was held at the NFFF's training school in Meanwood, Leeds. Rafael judged candidates on their preparation skills. The young participants were also tested on their fish frying skills and then had to do a presentation to the judges.
In 2006 Rafael was himself a runner up in the Young Fish Fryer of the Year Competition.
